The Big Bar Crate contains fine .999+ Silver bullion in bar form. Generally, we place the biggest bar (by weight) for the price tier selected and then fill the remaining dollar value with smaller sizes. In all cases, small fraction Silver pieces (under one troy ounce) will be used to get each crate to the exact dollar amount. These may be fractional coins, bars or rounds.

Silver Bullion Bars are one of the most sought-after choices in Precious Metal Investing. Bullion in Bar form typically come with low premiums (to market spot price) and are easy to store, making them some of the most popular vehicles of commodity trading.

Some popular Silver Bar options from the various Government and private mints include;

  • The Royal Canadian Mint is world-renowned for its attention to detail and innovation in refinement. They not only carry Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium Coins such as the Maple Leaf, they also produce Silver Bars with a purity of .9999+ (that is (4) 9's) weighing in at 10 and 100 troy ounces. They also hand-pour 500+ (up to 1000 oz) COMEX Silver Bars which are used in industry as well as large portfolio commodity investing. Please see our Silver IRA Crate and Gold IRA Crate for inquiries on COMEX Bars.
  • Johnson Matthey Vintage Silver Bars often times come across our fulfillment floor. These Bars are moving into collectors hands and are becomming more scarce on the wholesale side but have made an appearance in many Big Bar Crates of the past. These typically have great character with imperfections and toning that make for a great conversation piece.
  • Royal Mint (Great Britain) has taken their success with the 1 oz Silver and Gold Britannia Coins and has begun production of their 10 troy ounce and 100 oz Britannia Bars.
  • Engelhard, a once popular American chemical company and like Johnson Matthey, has since discontinued their bullion program. However, we do see a plethora of sizes such as their 1 oz, 3 oz, 10 and 100 oz Bars come through our fulfillment facility. We even seen quite a bit of their Silver Prospector Rounds which can be found in our “Generic Silver Crate.
  • Perth Mint (Australia) not only makes sovereign Government coins for Australia but also manufacturers 1 oz, 10 oz, 1 kilogram and 100 oz Silver Bars.
  • Pamp Suisse and Valcambi Suisse (Switzerland) both make great fine Silver Bullion Bar options, of which come in a plethora of sizes, even as small as 1 gram!
  • Geiger Edelmetalle (Germany) although rare due to high premiums, make some of the best-looking Silver Bars on the market with unique security features to safeguard against counterfeit bullion. These bars come in a huge variety of sizes such as 1 gram, 5 gram, 20 gram, 1 oz, 50 gram, 5 oz, 250 gram, 10 oz, 500 gram, 1 kilogram (1000 grams), 100 oz and 5 kilo.

Other popular mints, specifically from the U.S., include;

  • Asahi Refineries which specialize in pressed Silver Bars.
  • A-Mark which carry a variety of Bars such as hand poured, pressed and cast options.
  • The Sunshine Mint which provides the U.S. Mint with their planchets (blank coins) also carry a variety of Silver Bars.
