Product Details

2 1/2 Peso Gold Coins!
With a first strike mintage date of 1918, the Banco De Mexico minted these for a 30-year period. Each coin contains approximately 1.87 grams of Gold.

This is a random year 2.50 Peso Mexican Gold Coin produced by the Mexican Mint. Mintage years vary between 1918-1948. These have been reproduced or "restriked," numerous times by the Mexican Mint and there is no way (as far as we know) to discern and original specimen versus a modern "restrike" version. For all intents and purposes, we are advertising these as "restrike," however you could get lucky and get an original one. We are led to believe that 1945 is the date stamped on all restrikes but we can not verify this. If you receive a 1945 specimen, it is most likely a restrike but again, there is no way to tell. Either way, product specifications are exactly same as original production run specimens.
