The Generic Silver Crate contains low-premium ‘generic’ Fine Silver in the form of Rounds or Bars. The idea behind the term generic simply denotes that it was produced by a non-government manufacturer. These items most always come with a much lower ‘premium’ than the Government Minted Coins getting you the closest possible to market spot price per troy ounce. These items still have investment-grade purity standards and meet or exceed .999+% in fineness and are generally minted by the same companies who mint product for the various world Governments.

Some of the most popular choices for Generic Silver are;

  • 1 oz Silver Buffalo Round – Of course! These are the most commonly produced Generic Silver Round and are made by just about every private mint in the U.S... Some notable mentions who make this and other designs are the Highland Mint, Osborne Mint, Intaglio Mint, Texas Precious Metals, Silver Shield, Silver Cross, 9Fine and the U.S. Assay Office.
  • 1 oz Silver Round (Morgan Dollar) by the Sunshine Mint (SMI) with enhanced anti-counterfeit security features.
  • 1 oz Incuse Indian Silver Round by the Golden State Mint (GSM). The design is based on old U.S. coinage which is typical of many kinds of Generic Silver. These also come in 1/10 oz, ¼ oz, and ½ oz denominations.
  • 2 oz Silver Scottsdale Silver Stacker also found and compatibly stack with their 100 gram and 5 oz versions. The creators of the beautiful Tombstone series of Gold and Silver Bars and Rounds and producers of some lovely hand-poured ‘kit-kat’ style bars.

Another common form of Generic Silver comes in Bar form, for example;

  • 1 oz Silver A-Mark Brick (Type-2) “chunky”, 2 oz and 100 oz Vintage bars. As well as their newer version of pressed bars commonly found in 10 oz sizes.
  • 1 oz Silver Atlantis Mint hand-poured bars such as their 10 g, 1 oz, 2 oz, 3 oz, 5 oz, 7 oz, and 10 oz Skull and Crossbones series.
  • 1 oz Silver Prospector Bars from Silvertowne Mint who also produces Government Minted coins such as the Niue ‘Owl of Athena’ Stacker Coins.
  • 1 oz Silver Prospector Gold and Gems (PG & G) specialize in beautifully crafted ‘hand-poured’ bars and come in a variety of sizes such as 1 oz, 2 oz, 5 oz, 6 oz, 8 oz, and 10 troy ounces.

In all cases, small fractional pieces of Generic Silver can be found. This is how we get you to the closest dollar amount possible per crate. Did you know?
